I create engaging, thoughtful content based on science. I write about animals, animal sentience and cognition, environmentalism, the urban/wild interface, biology, animal behavior and health, and the human/animal bond. 

As a disabled veteran, I advocate for mental health and disability awareness, and I write about ableism, gender, and animal representation in horror and science fiction film and literature.
